Back on Track

So I’ve got my rhythm back. Wake up at 6.30. Gulp some hot tea at 6.45. Leave for school at 7.45. Arrive at 8.15. Sit in car and exchange humorous looks with Chelsy until 8.20. Start the school day at 8.25. Done with school at 3.40. Band until (usually) 6.00. Go home. Homework until roughly 9.00. Sleep about about 10.00. Wake up at 6.30. Do it again.

I’m not complaining, I like structure. I like having a schedule and knowing what I need to get done. The one thing missing from my schedule right now: Football Friday. I’m sooooooo ready for the first football game. I was kinda dreading football season this year, cause I felt it would never be the same without The Biggins, but I’m not going to dwell on the past, I’m gonna have a fat senior year.

Let’s go!

Where were you in ’92?

I’ve made it through three full days of school now. I’m loving senior year thus far. I’ve got an amazing schedule. I’ve got amazing classes.

  1. Ceramics I – Huber
  2. CPA Economics – Adams
  3. CPA Biology II – Losche
  4. Symphonic Band – Self
  5. AP European History – Blackburn
  6. AP British Literature – Myers
  7. Food Nutrition & Wellness (Cooking) – Hayes

I’ve got amazing people in my amazing classes in my amazing schedule. The only downer this whole week: Thomas might get moved out of FN&W, leaving me all by myself. I’m feeling like this is going to be a great year. I’m going to try to blog more as interesting stuff happens, I need a creative outlet outside of school. It is just going to be hard to find time, my two AP’s have so much work. Anywho, hope you are well. Sorry for slouching on the blog. I’ve not forgotten about you, I promise.

Missing in Action

I haven’t blogged in like two weeks. I was afraid this would happen; I would enter the blogosphere, build up a decent following, and then disappear. Well, in my defense I’ve been really busy lately. I have several web clients at the moment that I am trying to devote as much time as possible to before school starts back. Also, band is kicking back into gear. We had two practices this past week, and full band camp is next week. You won’t see or hear from me much at all that week because band camp is all bloody day… eight am to eight-thirty pm. Goodness, I’m going to be so anal by the end of the week. I’m excited about @ansleyy switching to the notoriously lazy saxophone section, I feel we’re going to have a big blast. Our freshman this year are a pretty boring, but I think Thomas will be a diamond in the rough, or whatever the hell that expression is.

In other-than-band news, I had a job interview yesterday. Like, a forreal job interview. No, it was not at Starbucks (they are still out to get me), but at one of Rome’s upscale eateries, Harvest Moon Cafe. Apparently there is only one position, five people were picked from all the applicants to interview (including me), and out of all of them I am the only high schooler, but I’m not going to get my hopes down. For my first job interview, it was not nearly as scary as I imagined it would be. It was very casual, very friendly, not at all intimating.

Well, that’s all from me at the moment. I will keep you posted on all the exciting things going on in my life right now. If you’re frustrated by my lack of posting, you can always follow me on Twitter (@ohgibbs) for more frequent updates. Hope you are all well!
